Cape York Peninsula Lodge’s fully licensed a la carte restaurant overlooking the lush tropical gardens has a varied offering. To view our current menu, click here.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 7am and 9am Tuesday to Friday and consists of a full continental buffet with cereals, self serve pancakes, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice, percolated coffee and tea with all condiments.

Vittoria D'Oro espresso coffee is avaliable as is La Maison Du The Tea selection.

This service is included in most room rates.

Hot Breakfast is an a la carte option.

Lunch

Packed lunches are available on request and must be ordered the night before.

Dinner

The Kitchen opens between 6pm and 8pm Monday to Saturday.

A full a la carte menu is available on weekdays, with the exception being a feature Buffet on Thursday.

Tapas is avaliable on Fridays.

Saturday evenings a Slider Menu is on offer.

A comphrehensive wine selection is on offer and Cape York Peninsula Lodge has the best cocktail menu in The Cape.

Functions and Conferences

Cape York Peninsula Lodge has a private Board Room which can comfortably seat 20 persons.

Conference packages can be tailor made to suit the event with half day hire starting at $137.50.

The Paperbark Restaurant is avaliable for private hire.

Ferry/Airport Transfers

Cape York Peninsula Lodge provides transfers from the Northern Peninsula Airport to the Lodge and return.

Flying in daily Monday to Friday, Rex Airlines is the Lodge's preferred partner.

REX AIRLINESThe Lodge also provides transfers from the Seisia Wharf to the Lodge and return.

The Ferry operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday from October through May.

From June through October the Ferry operates Monday - Saturday.


 

Hire Cars

Cape York Peninsula Lodge has a fleet of Toyota Yaris vehicles for hire. The vehicles can comfortably transport four adults with four travel cases and are available for daily hire or long term hire, depending on the travel requirements.

At $150.00 per day the vehicle has unlimited kilometres but cannot be taken off road.

The Lodge has 4WD hire available on request from $250.00 per day.




Touring

Cape York Peninsula Lodge provides private 4WD Touring to "The Tip" and Fruit Bat Falls.

The Lodge works closely with local operators and can assist with tour bookings and recommending itineraries.

 

Our Tours


Tip Tour

Departing at 10am in a private 4WD guests will enjoy the trip from Cape York Peninsula Lodge to the “Tip”.
The off road adventure begins with a stop at the Croc Tent for an opportunity to purchase some unique Northern Queensland souvenirs.

Stopping at the ruins of the Pajinka Resort before embarking on the 20minute (unpaved) walk to the most Northern Point of Australia.
Enjoy the packed gourmet lunch on the beach of Somserset and the ruins of the homestead and the three intact cannons.

Before returning to the Lodge, guests are taken to the crash site of the DC3 Plane.




Fruit Bat Falls Tour

Departing at 8am in a private 4WD guests will enjoy the trip from Cape York Peninsula Lodge to Fruit Bat Falls.
Before leaving the sealed roads, guests are taken to the crash site of the DC3 Plane.

The off road adventure begins from the crash site.

Arriving at the mighty Jardine approximately 45 minutes later, guests sit tight whilst the the guide drives onto the ferry and stay in the vehicle for the crossing.
Continuing along the 4WD track guest arrive at the Fruit Bat Falls turn off and start the navigation of the old telegraph track.
Arriving at Fruit Bat Falls at 10.30am where the water is inviting and swimming is recommended.

Enjoy a gourmet lunch and a swim in the pristine waters.

Fishing Tour

Cape York Peninsula Fishing is based in Seisia, Cape York, a a 10 minute drive from the Lodge.

Owner operator Jay Arnold charters half day/ full day and tailored tours.

Focusing on Jackie Jackie Creek, Escape River, Jardine River, Mutti Heads and surrouding areas.

Pearl Farm
Roko Pearls, founded originally in the the 90's has been one among a few Pearl Farms producing WHite South Sea Pearls directly in the location where the first cultured Pearl was born, the Torres Strait in Queensland.
Half day Pearl Farms tours can be booked from the Lodge.
Roko Island also provide fishing charters and overnight accommodation.






Cape York Adventures

Cape York Adventures are based at Seisia and have been operating since 1996, offering a range of tours.
From 4WD Tours, Fishing Charters and Island Tours.

In Their Steps Tour Tour - Horn Island

Join your guide and walk in the steps of those who served on the island during WW2, both American and Australian. Learn of the hardship involved in the development and maintenance of Horn Island as an advanced operational airbase. Some of the sites visited include a World War Two plane relic, slit trenches, taxiways, a 3.7 inch gun site and an underground command post.

The In Their Steps Tour has a duration of approximatley 1.5 hours.


Thursday Island Tour

To experience the very essence of Thursday Island book a tour with Peddell’s local indigenous guides.  Peddell's tour includes a comprehensive visit to Green Hill Fort  and its  refurbished underground tunnels and rooms which house the Torres Strait Historical Museum.
